Srinagar July 04:(KNS) Acting tough against social crimes, Srinagar Police have arrested 03 gamblers from a gambling site in Nowhatta.

A police party from Police Station Nowhatta raided a gambling site at Malkha following an input about gambling activities and apprehended three gamblers for gambling offences.

They have been identified as Bilal Ahmad Khan resident of Habib Colony Nowshara Srinagar, Ghulam Ahmad Sheikh resident of Sheikh Colony Tujgari Mohalla Nowhatta Srinagar and Hilal Ahmad Baqaal resident of Ranger Stop Khanyar Srinagar.

Officers have seized playing cards and stake amount of ?7390/- from the gamblers. They have been shifted to Police Station Nowhatta where they remain in custody.

Case FIR No. 32/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Nowhatta.

Persons found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units.(KNS)
