Soz demands evacuation of kashmiris stranded parts outside


Srinagar, May 23 (KNS): Senior congress leader and former union minister Professor Saif U Din Soz on Saturday Requested Lt. Governor J&K Union Territory Giresh Chandra Murmu to facilitate early transportation of Kashmiri students and workers stranded at Madurai, Chennai and other places in Tamil Nadu.
In a statement issued to KNS, Soz said I made an earnest request to Mr. G.C. Murmu Lt. Governor, J&K Union Territory today, to facilitate return of students and workers to Kashmir, now stranded at Madurai, Chennai and other places in Tamil Nadu.
I explained to the Lt. Governor that these stranded people want no other facility than arrangements for their travel to Srinagar, Kashmir.
I explained further in the letter that these are students and workers who had gone to Tamil Nadu for pursuit of livelihood and studies.I earnestly requested Shri. G.C. Murmu to facilitate transportation of these stranded people, who want to travel to Kashmir, as early as possible.I informed the Lt. Governor that the stranded Kashmiri students and others can be contacted through one Suhail Nazir Dar, who has raised the issue with me, recently on behalf of the stranded people. (M.
