Srinagar, May 28 (KNS): Chairman of Kashmir Society and Kashmir Development, Farooq Renzushah Tuesday called on Chief Electoral Office J&K Shalinder Kumar, at his office in Moulana Azad Road Srinagar.

He appreciated him for successfully conducting the parliamentary election in J&K in what he termed as most fair and peaceful manner that too in South Kashmir, which he said was a real challenge.

He brought in the notice of Kumar that “it is very essential to understand reasons for constant low percentage of voting in Kashmir valley as compared to other two divisions of state and rest of the country. This continuous zero to 3% or more in various Urban and Rural areas has developed political vested interests in certain sections who are more keen than militants or separatists to engineer such boycotts so that they are able to rule majority 97% by minuscule 3% which is misuse of democracy.” (KNS)
