Regularisation of 60k daily wagers can’t be kept in limbo any further: Kadfeen

Srinagar, Jun 17 (KNS): Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary on Monday expressed concern over the hardships being faced by more 60 thousand daily wagers in the state, questioning the inordinate delay being done to issue the orders of their regularisation.

Kadfeen said that it is worrisome to find these daily wagers being plunged into deep crisis with government not doing enough to address their woes and regularise them as was being decided by the government earlier.

He underlined the need of addressing the issue on humanitarian grounds, stating that the delay is not only affecting the daily wagers on individual level but it affects their families and children as well.

Kadfeen said that governor administration has to ensure it walks the talk and the issue isn’t thrown in government’s cold storage without any remorse.

He maintained that the daily wagers who are approximately 60 thousand in number have completed all the requisite formalities including the Aadhaar based attendance and that it is now the government that has to expedite the process of their regularisation as much of the precious time of these workers was lost in moving from pillar to post earlier.
