Srinagar, Oct 18 (KNS): Expressing serious concern over the indifferent attitude of the ruling dispensation towards the people, Congress today lashed out at both PDP and BJP for victimizing people, saying that even the people demanding water are being responded with lathis, butts and described the ruling dispensation as complete failure and anti people.
In a statement issued to KNS, the Party Spokesperson expressed serious concern over the indiscriminate firing on people agitating against braid chopping at Wullarhama Pahalgam today, in which five civilians were left injured seriously, besides the lathies charge on the people of Bakerwal check Dooru area who were agitating against the scarcity of water.
Condemning the firing on agitating civilians in Wullarhama Pahalgam today, the Spokesperson blamed the Govt for losing control, as a result the situation is complete out of gear, fraught with serious consequences.
The spokesperson also condemned the ransacking of houses in Shopian today and sought clarity from the Govt, as to why this Govt is not able to ensure safety of people especially the modesty of the women, whose braids are being chopped every day, besides the inaction on the Part of ruling dispensation has added chaos to the situation. He added that PDP is fully responsible for the current fiasco and cannot escape the responsibility of unabated incidents of braid chopping in valley.
The spokesperson said that this Govt is anti people with no seriousness about the safety of the people especially the modesty of the women, which is now in great danger. (KNS)
