Srinagar Nov 12 (KNS): Formal notification for the election of various office bearers of Adbee Markaz Kamraz Jammu and Kashmir has been issued. The election is scheduled to be held on November 26.
According to a notification issued by Advocate Abdus Salam Rather who has been nominated as Election Officer, the election will be held for the posts of President, Vice President-I and II, General Secretary, Secretary, Media Secretary, Treasurer and Librarian. According to him the last date for submission of nomination forms in his office at District Court Baramulla will be November 18 till 2 PM. Scrutiny of nominations will take place on November 20 and the last date of withdrawal of nominations will be November 23. Election in case of contest will be held on November 26 at 11 AM at Kashmir College of Education for Women Noorbagh Sopore.
It is worth mentioning here that Mr Rather who is the President of District Bar Association Baramulla was nominated as Election Officer on November 5 while as Prof M A Charoo former Chairman J & K Board of School Education (BOSE) was nominated as Observer. The term of the office bearers of AMK had come to an end in June this year but was extended till December in view of certain exigencies. (KNS)
