‘Governor should have given a chance for Govt formation’

Baramulla, Nov 22 (KNS): Senior PDP leader and former minister Mohammad Dilawar Mir on Thursday said that Governor should have given a chance to the political parties for forming a stable government in the larger interests of the people of the state.
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Mir said, “If the political parties of J&K had claimed their majority for government formation, the Governor, S P Malik should have given them a chance, adding it was for the betterment of people, but i think he has taken a decision in haste.”
“Representatives from across J&K had wished to form the new government, and a grand alliance between the various parties had emerged,” said Mir, adding that “to dissolve the assembly at the eleventh hour is a murder of democracy. Now people of J&K have understood that the directions were given from New Delhi who want to keep the pot boiling for their own interests, but their nefarious designs won’t succeed in J&K.” (KNS)
