Jammu, Sep 13 (KNS): Director General of Police (DGP) Jammu and Kashmir Nalin Prabhat on Saturday conducted a comprehensive security review meeting at the District Police Lines (DPL) here to assess the Union Territory's security grid and operational preparedness, officials said.
The high-level meeting was attended by Inspector General of Police (IG) Jammu Tejinder Singh, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) JSK Range Shridhar Patil, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu Joginder Singh, along with all Zonal Superintendents of Police (SPs), Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs), Station House Officers (SHOs) and Probationary Sub-Inspectors (PSIs) of the 2024 batch.
During the review, the DGP took stock of the security grid across both city and rural areas, the prevailing crime situation, operational preparedness and the readiness of field formations, the officials said.

Emphasis was laid on strengthening coordination among various units, promoting proactive policing and ensuring an effective response to emerging security and law and order challenges, they added.
The DGP directed the officers to maintain a robust security apparatus and remain vigilant to thwart any attempts to disturb peace in the region.
