Says decision about closure of routine OPDs, Elective Surgeries to be taken after taking into consideration COVID situation

Srinagar, Jan 15 (KNS): The authorities on Saturday said that both Covid and non-Covid activities will continue to function normally including routine OPDs and elective surgeries till further orders. 

According to an order issued by Director Health Services Kashmir (DHSK), a copy of which lies with Kashmir News Service (KNS), decision to continue both Covid and non-Covid activities has been taken in consultation with Divisional Commissioner Kashmir. 

"In consultation with Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, it has been decided that both COVID & Non COVID activities will continue to function normally, which includes routine OPDs & Elective Surgeries till further orders," reads the order. 

DHSK also impressed upon all the Chief Medical Officers, Medical Superintendents and Block Medical Officers of Kashmir Division to adhere to COVID protocols and guidelines strictly while routine functions of the hospitals is being undertaken.

It stated that the decision about closure of routine OPDs and Elective Surgeries will be taken after taking into consideration the COVID situation as it evolves in the coming days. (KNS)
