Authorities disallow Muzzafar Shah to attend function

 Srinagar, Jan 06 (KNS): Rich tributes were paid to Late Ghulam Mohammad Shah on his 11th death Anniversary observed in Srinagar at his ancestral Mazaar at Chattabal and at Party Provincial office in Jammu today.

 
According to a statement issued to KNS,  alarge number of ANC workers and well-wishers assembled at the Late Leaders Mausoleum for recitation of the Holy Quran despite inclement weather in Kashmir division since early morning. Congregational FathehKhawani led by Imam Sahib of Hazrat Peer MantaqiDargah at Chattabal washeld at 11.30 am.
 
However Late Leaders Son, ANCSenior Vice President Muzzafar Shahunder house arrest along with his Mother ANC President Begum Khalida Shah since August 5thlast year was denied permission to attend the 11th Death Anniversary function of his Late Father, statement added.
 
Shah had sought permission from Deputy Commissioner Srinagar in a written communication on 4th January 2020 .There was no reply from the DC on his request. The Security Staff on duty with Muzzafar Shah informed him today morning about the verbal decision of the administration disallowing him from attending his Father’s 11th Death Anniversary Function.
 
Awami National Conference condemns this highly deplorable and regrettable decision of Local authorities of not allowing Muzzafar Shah to attend this function. It shows the scent disregard to freedom of movement, freedom of speech and total disregard of civil liberties in Kashmir today.
 
ANC thanks all the people that assembled to pay tributes to their Leader and ensures to leave no stone unturned in getting the decision of abrogation of Article 370 revoked and for a just and fair solution of the Kashmir issue acceptable to both India and Pakistan and the people of Jammu and Kashmir on both sides of the Line of Control in Particular (KNS).
