Srinagar, Oct 5 (KNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has prorogued the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, bringing the current session of the House to a formal close.

‎According to a bulletin issued by the J&K Legislative Assembly Secretariat on Monday, Sinha exercised powers under clause (a) of sub-section (2) of Section 18 of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019, to prorogue the Assembly.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

‎“I, Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, in exercise of the powers conferred upon me under clause (a) of the Sub-section (2) of Section 18 of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019, do hereby prorogue the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly,” the order stated.(KNS)
