Rajouri, May 11 (KNS): Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senior leader and former Education Minister Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali Friday urged Chief Secretary and DDC Rajouri to gear up pace of work on various projects sanctioned in previous government.
In this regard, former minister wrote a letter to Chief Secretary and DDC Rajouri.
He in a letter mentioned that work on all projects is slow down or in standstill position that were sanctioned under his ministership in previous popular government.
Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali wrote that "As we all are aware of this fact that state is passing through presidential form of government and there is no elected representative to make planning and monitoring with regards to the developmental activities in the respective areas."
Under single line administration, all the powers vested with District Development Commissioner to ensure the equitable development of all the areas falling under his jurisdiction and the areas remain neglected backward and having more critical gap need more focused attention, particularly at this stage of plan formulation for the year 2019-20 under all the sectors both state, district and central sponsored schemes, he added.
"I had several conversations on telephone regarding various developmental issues of my constituency since you assume the office of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri," he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Several developmental projects were initiated/ started during the previous dispensation either the work on these projects is slow down or in standstill position the most of the projects were time bound and the deadline fixed has expired, he added.
Projects mentioned by Zulfkar Ali are as Kotranka-Khawas road, Kewal Targain road, Maraasi Morh Bagyalkote road, PMGSY road/NABARD projects, Macadamization of various roads including Rajouri Darhal road, Thudi Kotedarra road, Panihad, Kotedarra Kurhad, Samote Targain, Shahpur road etc. CRF road from Khaa to Khayarian not started yet, several languishing projects under IDFC not started.
Various important projects under tourism have not started and projected for funding under IDFC, amusement park Kotranka, Patli Qila ECO tourism park, Pollution Control Board building at Chowkian Rajouri, EMRS Kotranka, KV school Nagrota, ITI Kotranka, Degree college at Kotranka / Peeri , sports stadium at Kotranka, construction of additional infrastructure in various schools, execution / payment under CDF in all the sectors viz PDD/ PHE / PWD /RDD, construction of Gujjar Bakarwal Hostel at Kotranka, construction of Tribal hostel at Nagrota, starting of classes in newly upgraded School.
