Shopian, Jan 22 (KNS): Inhabitants of Zampathri village of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday staged protest against the Power Development Department (PDD) for failing to fulfill their demands.
The residents as per the KNS correspondent said that there are around 100 households in the village but the authorities have provided 16 kilo watt transformer to the villagers, which is not appropriate and develop frequent technical snag.
“We pleaded to the authorities to provide another suitable transformer to the village and after making rounds of different government offices, the PDD provided replaced 25 KV transformer to the village,” Mohammad Yawar Gorsi said, adding that the transformer doesn't bear the load of 100 households.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
