Sports fraternity appeal CM not to accept it

Srinagar, Jan 19 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council Joint Secretary Zamir Ahmad Thakur Thursday resigned from his post owing personal reasons.
In his resignation letter to Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, Thakur, who is also the president of JK Football Association, said that he is resigning from the post of Joint Secretary due to “personal reasons.”
He was elected as Joint Secretary on 18 August 2015 in the meeting of General Council of Sports Council held under the chairmanship of then chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayed.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe sports fraternity in the state has expressed sadness over Thakur’s resignation saying his contributions for the upliftment of sports are immense. Thakur was recently elected as treasurer of All India Football Association.
The sports fraternity have appealed to the chief minister Mehbooba Mufti and Secretary Sports Council Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra not to accept the resignation in the interest of development of sports. (KNS)
