Srinagar, Mar 12 (KNS): The recently upgraded Zalpora high school in Bandipora district is facing staff shortage as only six teachers cater to 320 students.
According to the residents, the school education department has put the future of students on stake.
Irony is no teacher for Mathematics-one of the subjects has been deputed to the school, they said.
"We conveyed the higher authorities several times about the issue, but so far no teacher had been deputed. "
The school was upgraded two years back and this year Ist batch of students have to appear in 10th class board examination.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The headmaster of the school told KNS that he has written to Chief Education Officer Bandipora for deputing teachers.
The parents of the students have appealed the higher authorities to provide the staff to the school so the study of their children will not be effected.
However when KNS contacted Deputy CEO Bandipora Shiekh Ghulam Mohammad, he admitted the shortage of teachers in the school and said that there are 5 masters grade posts in the school but so far none has been promoted nor any new recruitment has been done, however said that in coming days they will arrange the teachers for the school (KNS)
