Srinagar, Jan 5 (KNS): Senior resistance leader and chairman Salvation Movement Zaffar Akber Bhat today asked United Nations to implement its January 5, 1949 resolution unanimously adopted by India and Pakistan for final and peaceful resolution of Kashmir conflict.
After holding a symbolic peaceful protest demonstration at press enclave Srinagar, Bhat told media that auspicious UN resolutions including January 5, 1949 UN resolution are still legal basis for Kashmir Conflict which can’t be ignored legally.
Zaffer Akbar Bhat while talking to the media said that world’s top body-United Nation- has moral and legal obligations to resolve the Kashmir dispute which is oldest conflict in the world and a nuclear flash point in South Asian region.
He said that besides Kashmiri nation, people with conscience around the globe are worried over the way United Nation is dealing with Kashmir dispute. Zaffer said that implementation of United Nations resolutions is the only way forward.
He said that world’s to body has passed as many as 18 resolutions for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue; however India always used oppression as a tool to sabotage the freedom struggle of Kashmiris while as continues to bring obstructions in their implementation. He said that instead of resolving the dispute by implementing the UN resolutions India with the help of its stooges in Kashmir was busy in slaughtering naïve Kashmiris.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Zaffer said that besides muzzling the freedom struggle of Kashmiris with force, India is also deceiving world community by dialogue rhetoric but in reality India never took the dialogue seriously which is apparent from the fact it always showed reluctance in involving primary party-Kashmiris- of the dispute in resolving the conflict.
He highlighted the role played by Pakistan in resolving the dispute and said that India never responded to peaceful calls of Pakistan in a dignified manner, however continued killing innocent Kashmiris which it though was the solution of the problem.
Zaffer Akbar Bhat wowed to continue his political struggle till the peaceful resolution of Kashmir conflict and said that Indo-Pak countries must involve the Pro-freedom leadership into the dialogue process for fruit full results.
He said that because of the Kashmir conflict, both the countries (India and Pakistan) were confronting a miserable and hostile situation and because of it a major portion of these countries gets wasted in defense purposes. Zaffer said that India and Pakistan is in a mad race for accumulating and purchasing deadly/costly weapons because of the conflict. He urged United Nations to implement its resolutions on Kashmir for meaningful results so that the Asian giants can save themselves from the nuclear disaster. (KNS)
