Srinagar, Jan 30 (KNS): Senior resistance leader and Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement Chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat today along with party leaders visited Wanbal, Wathora and chadoora areas under mass contact program.
According to a statement issued to KNS, during the visit, Zaffer Akbar Bhat interacted with general public and apprised them about the current political scenario.
He paid glowing tributes to martyrs of Kupwara particularly to youth who was martyred by forces in Darpora village of Lolab.
On the occasion, addressing gatherings Zaffer Akbar Bhat condemned India’s cultural aggression in Kashmir.
He said that India is resorting to cultural aggression in Kashmir to drive the Kashmiri youth away from the ongoing freedom movement so that it is crushed.
Zaffer said that Indian rulers are trying to eliminate our Muslim identity by organizing so-called cultural programs and encouraging vulgarity.
“Non-educational activities were being conducted in educational institutions in the name of so-called cultural programs. In these programs students are being asked to indulge in such activities which had no relations with their religious and social traditions,” Zaffer said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said that since extremist Hindu organization, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) got direct access in the affairs of Kashmir with the help of mainstream political parties, the situation had turned more serious and the government departments in a planned manner were launching offensive on religious and social values of Kashmiris.
Zaffer took serious note of the incident in which some girls were asked to perform in front of some people inside a house and demanded a through probe into the incident.
Bhat appealed to the parents to lay special attention towards their children and prioritize their character building and shield them from cultural aggression.
Meanwhile,JKSM Women’s wing secretary Ruqiya Baji visited Pushwara Islamabad and paid rich tributes to martyr Mushtaq Ahmad Haroo. She expressed sympathy with the family and asked people to safeguard the mission and sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs. On the occasion she lead a demonstration against human rights violation,use of lethal weapon present and arrest spree. During demonstration people pitch high throught slogans in favour of Islam and freedom. (KNS)
