Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement Wednesday organized a grand function to host family members of martyrs and those who were forced to disappear during past decades by Indian security forces.
According to a statement issued to KNS, function was held at the residence of Party Chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat and was attended by senior party leaders including Abdul Qayoom Rather and others. Voice of Victims executive director Abdul Qadeer and Co-coordinator Abdul Raof Khan Women’s wing secretary Ruqiya Baji attended the function. Besides them hundreds of victims particularly mothers of martyred and disappeared youth graced the function with their presence.
Function was started with the recitation of Quran and later glowing tributes were paid to martyrs who laid their lives for the freedom of Kashmir. Those who attended the function including salvation Movement leaders and activists collectively decided and wowed to continue the liberation struggle.
Eid gifts and essentials eatable for the Iftiyari were distributed among the kiths and kins of martyrs and assured possible help by the party Chairman.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Zaffer Akbar Bhat on the occasion expressed immense pleasure for hosting kiths and kins of martyrs who sacrificed their precious lives and nourished the ongoing freedom struggle with their blood.
In his presidential address, Zaffer Akbar Bhat paid rich tributes to martyrs and said that the sacrifices rendered by them can’t neither be underestimated nor ignored.
“Martyrs sacrificed their lives for Islam and freedom of Kashmir. Nobody will be allowed to waste and exploit their sacrifices for petty interests,” he said, adding sacrifices rendered by the martyrs internationalized the issue. He said that Kashmir’s nation must not lose heart due to ups and downs which we are witnessing in the ongoing freedom struggle as its established fact that Indian can’t keep Kashmir in its illegal control for long.
Stressing upon the unity among of Hurriyat leaders, Zaffer urged Leadership to forge unity and foil the anti-movement designs of people including of Indian state. (KNS)
