Demands fair probe into Peer Bagh Youth’s brutal murder

Srinagar, Jan 17 (KNS): Senior resistance leader and Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement Chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat today visited several areas of Srinagar under mass contact program.
He was accompanied by Moulana Ab Rashid, Moulana Mustaq Ahmad, Javed Ahmad Bhat, Aijaz Beg and others.
According to a statement issued to KNS, during the visit, Zaffer praised people about the current political scenario viz-a-viz Kashmir issue. Addressing the corner meetings, Zaffer Akbar Bhat hoped that very soon Indo-Pak NSA’s will meet and take forward the ongoing dialogue process initiated by the countries last year.
Zaffer said that meaningful and result oriented between nuclear armed countries was imperative for resolving the decade’s old Kashmir conflict that has endangered peace in South Asia and is the main cause of bitter Indo-Pak relations.
However, he clarified that dialogue process between India and Pakistan will never yield positive results till the primary party of the dispute-Kashmiris are involved in the process.
He stressed upon tripartite dialogue process and said that at a time when whole world is witnessing massive political changes, India and Pakistan has to move forward and took bold steps for resolving the dispute primarily boosting their economies.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Zaffer said that hostile situation will never allow the countries to prosper and for that matter has potential to hit the economic progress of whole South Asia.
During the visit, Zaffer Akbar Bhat visited Peer Bagh Hyderpora Srinagar and expressed shock over the brutal murder of a youth. He prayed for the deceased youth and demanded fair probe into the murder.
He also condemned the use of brutal force on protesters who were protesting peacefully and demanding fair probe into the killing. Zaffer said that every citizen has right to protest and seek probe but in Kashmir the voice of innocents and victims are being muzzled with force. He said that some 14 years ago youth Ashiq Ahmad hailing from the same locality was disappeared by the forces in custody and still family is waiting for the justice.
He also visited Check Sarie Budagm and express grief over the sad demise of renowned activist social activist Haji Feroz Ali Mir. Paying tributes to deceased, Zaffer lauded his and his family’s role in the ongoing freedom struggle. (KNS)
