Srinagar, Feb 19 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement Friday strongly condemned the continuous house detention of Party Chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat.
In a statement to KNS, Party Spokesman slammed authorities for detaining Zaffer Akbar Bhat and not allowing him to offer Friday prayers.
He said that Bhat Shab continues to be under house detention from past two weeks and barring him from offering prayers has exposed the true face of India and Indian democracy.

Expressing anguish over the incident, Bhat said that attacked on religious scholar Maulana Ghulam Rasool Hami is intolerable and highly condemnable.
He said that agencies are hell bent to divide Kashmiris on sectarian lines which will not be allowed to happen. Bhat said that few intoxicated and drunkards attacked a religious preacher, has established the fact that social and moral waywardness has crept in Kashmir society that was once known for its simple and chaste character.
He urged civil society, religious scholars and preachers to play their effective role in bringing down social and moral waywardness. (KNS)
