Srinagar, Oct 21 (KNS): Senior resistance leader and Chairmam Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement Zaffer Akbar Bhat who is under house detention from last many days, on Wednesday paid glowing tributes to frontline freedom fighters- Mohd Ashraf Dar and Rouf Rasool - on their martyrdom anniversaries.
In a statement to KNS, Zaffer Akbar Bhat remembered the two great martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the freedom struggle of Kashmir and said that duo actively contributed since the beginnings.
He paid tributes to the martyrs and said that shaheed Mohd Ashraf Dar was having hold on both religious and modern education and was a great scholar who worked for the improvement of poor. Zaffer said that Martyr Dar along with shaheed Abdullah Bahie aechived martyrdom on 22nd of October in 1991 while fighting Indian occupational forces. He also paid tributes to former spokesman of the Salvation Movement Rouf Rasool who was martyred by the anti-freedom forces on 23rd of October in the sane year.
Zaffer Akbar bhat also paid glowing tributes to youth who were martyred by forces today in Tangmarg area of Kashmir during a siege and search operation and said that mission of martyrs will be taken to it's logical conclusion despite odds and oppression.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said that freedom is broth right if Kashmiris and sacrifices laid down for the freedom will not be allowed to go waste. He slammed India and its occupational forces for carrying out massacre of innocent Kashmiris, perpetrating grave human rights violations and creating terror among civilians by arresting innocents and teenagers. He also condemned use of brute force on peaceful protesters in Anantnag during last three days. Zaffer expressed sympathy with the family of Naseer Ahmad of Bijbehara who sustained critical injuries today after forces resorted unprovoked tear gas shelling in the town.
He asked India to stop terrorizing Kashmiri's and start peaceful dilouge process for the early resolution of Kashmir dispute. He also hailed Pakistani Prime Minister Mr Nawaz Sharief for highliting Kashmir dispute and advocating its peaceful resolution. (KNS)
