Srinagar, Apr 05 (KNS): Apni Party President, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Wednesday said the security cover from the government given to me is purely based on threat perception and it shouldn't be considered any sort of favor or luxury exclusive for me.
"Kashmir is a city of rumors. I have been categorized under Z security cover since 2015. There is nothing new today. If I have been given z-security cover, it is based on threat perception, not any favor or luxury," Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari as per KNS said.
To a query about the decision of Waqf Board to hold Eid prayers in Eidgah, Bukhari said that it is the decision of incumbent Chairperson of Waqf and we have nothing to do in it. "We are common Muslims who are offering prayers. In past if prayers were not held there that was due to inclement weather. This has nothing to do with law and order situation," he said.
"I feel a notion is being created that people have been allowed to offer Eid prayers at Eidgah in BJP government, which however is not a reality," Bukhari added. (KNS)
