YSS casual labours protest

Demand regularization of services

Srinagar, Jan 28 (KNS): The casual labours engaged in J&K Youth Services and Sports on Saturday staged protest against the authorities for ‘ignoring them at all fronts’.
Amid snowfall in the Valley, the casual labours assembled at Srinagar Press Enclave and chanted slogans “we want justice.”
The protesting casual labours were demanding regularization of their services.
Talking to KNS, one among the protesting casual labors said, “We are serving the department from past 12 years but we have not been regularized so far. At least 199 posts are vacant in the department. Instead of filling the vacancies with the 52 casual labours, the authorities are looking for other persons, which is injustice with the casual labors,” he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said that the authorities in the department must fill the vacant posts with the casual labours who are already serving the department from past several years.
The protesting candidates said that the authorities must not ignore their plights and should appoint them on the vacant posts. “We are working in the department as causal labours with meager amount.”
The protesters later appealed the higher ups to look into the matter and fulfill their demands at earliest. (KNS)
