Urges Kashmir’s Youth to Embrace Unity, Support the Needy, and Hold Onto Hope Amid Ongoing Tourism Crisis

Srinagar, June 06 (KNS): As the people of Jammu and Kashmir prepare to celebrate the sacred festival of Eid al-Adha, Youth President of J&K Peoples Conference, Mudasir Karim, extended heartfelt greetings to the people especially the youth and urged them to uphold the spirit of unity, sacrifice, and compassion during these trying times.

“Eid Mubarak to every household in Jammu & Kashmir,” Mudasir Karim said. “This blessed day, rooted in the legacy of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), teaches us that true faith lies in sacrifice and service. Especially for our youth, Eid should be a reminder that strength lies in standing together, caring for the weak, and never giving up hope.”

Referring to the recent Pahalgam attack, he expressed concern over the deep impact it has had on the local tourism economy. “The attack didn’t just shake our sense of security but it hit thousands of livelihoods. Small business owners, shopkeepers, taxi drivers, hotel staff many of whom are young people have suffered heavy losses,” he said.

He added, “To all those struggling in silence, I say this with sincerity: don’t lose hope. This valley has seen darkness before, and yet every time, we’ve found a way to heal and rebuild. Insha’Allah, better days are ahead.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Mudasir Karim urged those who are able to offer Qurbani this year to not forget those who cannot. “There are families around us — quietly struggling — who may not have enough to celebrate. If Allah has given you the means, please make sure your Qurbani reaches them. Do it without noise, do it with heart,” he said.

Highlighting the importance of unity, he stated, “This Eid must also remind us that we are one people. Be it Hindu or Muslim, city or village, rich or poor, our strength is in togetherness. We must not let any outside force divide our fabric. Kashmir belongs to all of us.”

He added that the youth must take the lead in shaping a better tomorrow. “Our future depends on how we care for one another today. Let’s lead with kindness, show up for our communities, and prove that the youth of Jammu and Kashmir are ready to rise with courage and compassion.”

Concluding his message, Mudasir Karim prayed for peace, healing, and dignity for all the people of J&K.

“Eid Mubarak to all,” he said. “May your sacrifices be accepted, and may this Eid bring comfort to the hearts of those in pain. Let us hold each other close, and never lose faith in the future of this land we love.” (KNS)
