India Responds to US Tariffs, Says National Interests Will Be Protected

New Delhi July 30 (KNS): The Government of India has taken note of the US President’s announcement of a 25% tariff and related penalties on bilateral trade. Officials said the implications of the move are being studied carefully.

“The Government will take all necessary steps to safeguard national interests, as it has done with other trade agreements, including the recent Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement with the UK,” the statement said.(KNS)
