Youth President JKPC Mudasir Karim Urges Immediate Action on Exploitative Airfares to Srinagar

Srinagar March 28 (KNS) As the iconic Tulip Garden in Kashmir heralds the onset of the tourist season, Youth President Mudasir Karim has issued a fervent plea to address the soaring airfares to Srinagar.

Despite previous interventions by Crime Branch Kashmir in 2021 and the issuance of search warrants against travel agencies, exploitative practices persist, rendering travel to the Valley unattainable for many.

The exorbitant costs not only deter tourists but also impose an undue financial burden on locals, especially during Eid when families yearn to reunite. It is disheartening to witness the continued neglect of this pressing issue, which hampers the accessibility of Kashmir's beauty to all, regardless of economic status.

In a series of tweets, Youth President Mudasir Karim highlighted the urgency of the situation and urged the Office of LG Jammu and Kashmir to intervene decisively. He emphasized the need to enforce fair pricing regulations in collaboration with airlines to ensure that the beauty of Kashmir remains accessible to all.

"We cannot allow exploitative airfares to hinder the accessibility of Kashmir's splendor, especially during such joyous occasions as the blooming of the Tulip Garden and Eid celebrations," stated Youth President Mudasir Karim. "Immediate action is imperative to alleviate the financial burden on both tourists and locals and uphold the principles of fairness and inclusivity in Kashmir's tourism industry."

Youth President Mudasir Karim's calls for action resonate with the aspirations of the people of Kashmir, who seek equitable access to their homeland's natural wonders. His unwavering advocacy underscores the urgency of addressing this pressing issue and ensuring that the charm of Kashmir remains within reach of all.(KN
