PRO CRPF Bhavesh Chaudhray told KNS: “Till the doctors do not confirm that the youth was hit by a shell, we cannot say he was hit by a shell. Secondly, both police and CRPF were present there to disperse the mob that was pelting the camp with stones. Shells are common and both police and CRPF fired shells,” Chaudhary told KNS.
But in the same breath the PRO said admitted that CPRF fired few shells during the clashes.
“We fired few shells to disperse the mob, police also fired shells,” he said. When again asked how the youth was injured, the PRO said that it is confirmed that he was hit by a shell but “by whom the shell was fired it is not known.” (KNS)
