Srinagar, Sep 10 (KNS): A 24 year old youth died after being hit by a teargas shell in south Kashmir’s district Shopian.
According to KNS correspondent Fayaz Wani, clashes erupted at Tukroo village after forces foiled the pro-freedom procession.
Froces used teargas shelling to disperse the protestors. One of the teargas shell hit Sayar Ahmad Sheikh s/o Shamim Ahmad Sheikh on his head. He was rushed to nearby hospital where doctors declared brought him dead.

According to KNS, the people were to hold a pro-freedom procession at Tukroo village. Hundreds of people this morning from adjacent villages marched towards to the venue.
Forces tried to stop the march of people this morning. They also didn’t allow to make stage for holding of proposed procession.
This resulted in clashes between youth and forces. Dozens were injured during the clashes.
