Jan wondered over neglect of the Traffic Police in enforcing norms, as the mini-bus operators are seen plying vehicles amid blaring music and without wearing uniforms. “There are credible reports that some of the drivers ply vehicles without licences, as they seemingly enjoy impunity”, he said, adding that despite presence of traffic police such violations are taking place brazenly.
“We demand implementation of traffic norms in letter and spirit and action should not only be taken against erring drivers but also against those who remain mute,” he said. (KNS)
