Jan lashes out at government for failing on all the fronts

Poonch, Aug 01 (KNS): Youth National Conference on Tuesday expressed grave concern over enhancement of prices of certain categories of rations being provided to people through CAPD outlets and denial of levy sugar for months together.
“This is unexpected and speaks of the sadistic mindset of the PDP-BJP dispensation in adding up to the miseries of the people”, Youth National Conference Provincial President Ajaz Jan said while interacting with party workers during his day long tour of Hill Panchayat of Poonch.
Jan lashed out at the government for failing on all the fronts, saying the increase in rations and defunct utility services are few of the many gruesome examples of the misgovernance and anti-people policies of the coalition. He said the power and drinking water supply has been quite erratic, with most of the areas getting scarce supplies of tap water. Frequent and unscheduled power cuts have become norm and the administration is nowhere to be seen to come to the rescue of people, the YNC Provincial President added.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said that inadequate and supply of sub-standard rations explode the tall claims of the coalition dispensation about adequate supplies and sought explanation for such a poor state of affairs. He said increase between Rs 13 and Rs 25 in various categories of rations supplied to APL rationees has defeated the objective of Public Distribution System that has withstood test of times in the past. He said the coalition has failed to manage and ensure supplies of essentials. Similarly, he said increase of prices of rice between Rs 10 and Rs 15 besides atta between Rs 8 and Rs 13 has put additional burden on poor rationees.
Referring to short supplies of kerosene, Jan said in most of the places there have been no supplies at all for months. He said most of the kerosene oil depots are dry, as a result of which the people have been left to fend for themselves.
Jan said that defunct Public Distribution System has caused enormous anguish among the people, especially those living in remote and far flung areas. (KNS)
