Jammu, Jan 25 (KNS): National Conference today castigated state government for its poor preparations to deal with situation arising out of snowfall and said that people living in snow bound areas are facing immense problems which especially are related to health sector.
Youth National Conference Provincial President Ajaz Jan said that forecast for snowfall from 23rd onwards was issued by Weathermen and government should have taken this seriously.
“Government against ignored the forecast and failed to put any arrangements in place for dealing with situation”, Jan said.
In all the snow bound areas, which primarily include Pir Panjal and Chenab valley, there are no precautionary steps taken by government and people have been put on God's mercy.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“People in snow bound areas are facing immense hardships with prime problem related to health sector there is shortage of staff in small health institutions due to ill planned transfer in last one year and people have to move for several kilometres in snow to visit a doctor”, Jan added.
He further demanded immediate pressing of administrative machinery in snow bound areas to ensure earliest opening of blocked roads and availability of health services at any cost. (KNS)
