Poonch, July 30 (KNS): While castigating state government and health ministry for making hollow sloganeering for strengthening health sector in Pir Panjal region comprising on Rajouri and Poonch districts, Youth National Conference here has said that concerned minister and officers should act as per the need of the hour rather than only installing hoardings on roadside.
In a statement issued to KNS, YNC Jammu Province President Ajaz Jan said that he toured several villages of Mandi block of Poonch which are located near LoC and several thousands of human population is living there.
"In all the areas, health sector is the major cause of cry for public and they have been left on the mercy of God" Jan said.
Condition of all the major hospitals of Poonch district, including SDHs and DH Poonch is deteriorating with each passing day and people are suffering a lot, Jan said.
He also said that condition of health department is same in Rajouri district also whereas health ministry has even failed to appoint Medical Superintendent for District Hospital Rajouri whereas condition of several peripheral hospitals including Kotranka, Manjakote, Budhal and Kalakote is turning from bad to worst.
"What else we can expect when most of the work in New Type PHC in Samote Budhal is done by a IVth class employee" Jan added.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Quoting major loopholes in Health Sector in Rajouri and Poonch, Jan said that doctors are still not prescribing the medicines of JKMCL and people are purchasing medicines from open market, most of the attachments of staff form one health institution to the other one has been done on personal and political benefits whereas in many cases pregnant women are not even provided transportation service as promised under JSSY.
"We can see a number of hoardings of Health Ministry lying on roadside which is nothing but a publicity student " Jan said adding that under present government health sector is deteriorating with each day.
Meanwhile YNC Provincial President Ajaz Jan toured several villages of Mandi and interacted with the locals of the area who highlighted several problems including shortage of ration, power crisis, shortage of health services and lack of better transportation.
Jan assured these people to highlight their issues on proper platform and to get them addressed.
