Jammu, Jan 30 (KNS): MLA Rafiabad, Yawar Dilawar Mir today pitched for addressing the concerns of youth to stop them from resorting to violent methods for redressal of their grievances.
Speaking on demand of grants for the departments under the charge of Chief Minister in the Legislative Assembly today, Yawar said that a good will message for youth should go from this august House so that they feel that their voice is heard and we are concerned about their problems.
He said onus lies on us to see in what circumstances our youth have been forced to pick up stones and gun. Emphasising that dialogue and debate is the only way to seek solution of problems, Yawar invoked the slogan of Late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed that Bandook sey na goli sey- Baat baney gi boli sey. He said this slogan is relevant for the youth of the state also to seek redressal of their grievances. , He said repeated cycles of violence in Kashmir has caused lot of bloodshed and mayhem which needs to be checked without losing further time. He said just as members of House have been one in seeking hike in their CDF and T.A ,TA, similarly this house should stand united for the cause of the stats youth.
Yawar also sought removal of the pay disparity in the police constable grade. (KNS)
