Srinagar, Nov 23 (KNS): JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik Monday said that the inquiries ordered by the government into the killings of youths in Kashmir “is a drama.”
“They first kill our dear ones, and then stage dramas of inquiries and after some months give clean chit to killers. Martyr Gowhar Nazir Dar was brutally killed by Indian forces and so-called rulers are desperately trying to save his killers,” Malik said in a statement to KNS.
Malik said this while speaking to a condolence and prayers meeting held at Mazar-i-Shuhada Zainakot in HMT.
Earlier Yasin Malik along with a delegation comprising of vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, senior member resistance activist Amin Magloo and district secretary Muhammad Ramzan Sofi visited the bereaved family of martyr Gowhar Nazir Dar and expressed solidarity with them. From his residence JKLF chairman leading hundreds of local youth and elders marched to the martyr’s graveyard Zainakot.
A condolence meeting was held at martyr’s graveyard which was addressed by chairman JKLF.
In his speech JKLF chief while paying rich tributes to innocent Gowhar said that a promising and bright student of engineering was killed in cold blood by Indian forces in broad day light but rulers instead of arresting and penalizing his killers have yet again staged a drama of inquiry to save his killers.
Yasin Malik said that on 18th April 2015, a young boy Suhail Ahmad Sofi was brutally killed by police and forces at Narbal in same circumstances.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelAn inquiry was immediately called to divert attention of people and save the killers. Today after eight months killers have been provided a clean chit and firing any bullet has even been denied. This is the reality of these so-called inquiries and the sole purpose of these inquiries is only safeguarding the killers, said Yasin Malik.
He said that first these oppressors kill our loved ones and then call for inquiries and after some months provide a clean chit to killers. Yasin Malik said that Kashmiris have no faith in so-called rulers and their inquiries. Yasin Malik said that tyrant and oppressive measures taken by so-called rulers cannot budge resilient nation of Kashmir and despite all these atrocities our resistance and struggle for freedom will continue. People especially youth present on the occasion raised slogans in favor of freedom and martyrs.
Meanwhile JKLF has expressed condolences to GK photographer Imran on the sad demise of his father in law. JKLF while praying for his heavenly abode also prayed for his bereaved family.
JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik has also facilitated senior photojournalist Jenab Mukhtar Khan for winning Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar award. While appreciating the hard work and journalistic efforts of Mukhtar Khan, JKLF chairman said that he has made Kashmiris proud.(KNS)
