Srinagar, Jul 29 (KNS): The residents of Yahama (Lawoosa) in Langate constituency of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district are up in arms against the Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CA&PD) department for ‘failing to provide ration cards to the deserving families in the area’.
The villagers according to the KNS correspondent, Raja Akbar, said that the authorities have provided more than two ration cards to a single family while deserving families have been left on God’s mercy.

They said that the authorities must take appropriate action against the concerned officials in the area who allegedly have left several families to suffer. “Authorities have not issued any ration card to our family while there are several families who have been provided more than two rations cards,” a villager alleged.
The residents later appealed higher ups including the concerned minister, Choudhary Zulfikar Ali to look into the matter and redress their genuine grievances at earliest. (KNS)
