Srinagar, June 04 (KNS): To pay homage to the Assistant Sub Inspector Bashir Ahmad Ahanger and Constable Reyaz Ahmad Sheikh who gave the supreme sacrifice of their lives at General Bus Stand Anantnag today, a wreath laying ceremony was held at District Police Lines Anantnag.
Director General of Police J&K K. Rajendra Kumar led the officers and Jawans in the wreath laying ceremony which was attended among others by Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, S.J.M Gillani, Deputy Inspector General of Police, South Kashmir Range Nitish Kumar, SSP Anantnag Abdul Jabbar, SSP Kulgam Mohammad Irshad, SP Awantipora Shridhar Patil and hundreds of the civilians.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
ASI Bashir Ahmad is survived by his wife and 11 years old son while as Constable Reyaz Ahmad Sheikh is survived by 30 years old wife, 11 years old son, 02 daughters of 7, 9 years of age, aged patrents, and an unmarried sister.
Hundreds of the people attended the funeral of these martyrs at Logripora, Ashmuqam and at Uttersoo. The people condemned the barbaric act of the militants. MLA Pahalgam also attended the funeral of the Martyr Bashir Ahmad at Logripora, Ashmuqam. (KNS)
