World Health Day Celebrated at Hanfia Islamia Institute in Collaboration with Sub District Hospital Yaripora

Kulgam, April 7 (KNS): Hanfia Islamia Institute, in collaboration with Sub District Hospital Yaripora, observed World Health Day 2026 with great enthusiasm at its campus in Turka-Tachloo on Tuesday.

On this occasion, a team of medical professionals including Dr. Shahnawaz Ahmad Bhat (Medical Officer), Dr. Javeed Ahmad (Medical Officer), Dr. Anjum Ara Siddiqui (Medical Officer), Dr. Rukhsana (Medical Officer), Dr. Muzafar (Medical Officer), Nuzhat Nazir (FMPHW), Bilkeesa Akhter (FMPHW), Mubeena Akhter (BHW), Hateeba Gul (FMPHW), Fehmeeda Akhter (ASHA Worker), and Anjumana Nazir (ASHA Worker) participated in the programme.

During the event, health awareness sessions were conducted for students. The doctors shared simple and useful information about hygiene, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle habits. While addressing the gathering, Dr. Shahnawaz Ahmad Bhat highlighted the importance of maintaining good health and said that awareness at a young age helps in building a healthier society. He encouraged students to adopt healthy habits in their daily lives.

Dr. Ruksana (Medical Officer) appreciated the efforts of Hanfia Islamia Institute for organising such an important programme and creating awareness among students.

However, Waseem Hassan Raja, Chairman of Hanfia Islamia Institute expressed his sincere thanks to the Block Medical Officer Yaripora for deputing the medical team. He also thanked all the doctors and staff members for their valuable presence and contribution in making the programme successful.(KNS)
