Srinagar, July 27 (KNS): Asserting that peaceful struggle will continue till India acknowledges Kashmir as a dispute, Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) on Wednesday said the people of Kashmir won’t surrender before New Delhi’ oppression at any cost.
In a statement issued to KNS, a party spokesperson while declaring full support to the programme issued by Hurriyat Conference appealed people to make successful the ‘Jamia Chalo’ call on Friday.
He strongly condemned the use of brute force on people in Srinagar by forces on Tuesday saying to suppress the people’s sentiments through might won’t help New Delhi in any way. “In fact, New Delhi and its collaborators must change their approach to analyse the people’s sentiments,” he said.
The spokesperson lashed out at administration for imposing undue restrictions and unleashing a reign of terror across Valley particularly in south Kashmir and Srinagar areas. He criticised the Indian rulers for deviating the focus from real issue to the ‘alternative to pellet guns’ saying it has been clear that New Delhi just wants to change the killing machines while sidelining the real issue by terming it a mere law and order problem.
Terming the worldwide support to Kashmiris as good-omen for the ongoing freedom movement, the DFP spokesperson said Indian won’t be able to mislead the international community for long.
“We assure our people that the resistance leadership won’t disappoint them nor should people get dismayed over the stubborn and rigid approach of India. We must continue our struggle in a unified manner; this is the mission of our martyrs,” he said.
The spokesperson reiterated the appeal of taking care of the poor and affected families and utilizing of the Bait-ul-Maal committees. (KNS)
