Srinagar, Jan 30 (KNS): A woman was allegedly burnt alive with hot cooking oil on Monday at Reshi Pora area of Bomai Sopore, officials said.
According to Station House Officer (SHO) Bomai, Abdul Majeed, “A woman identified as Shahzada Begum, wife of Riyaz Ahmad Shah was burnt alive by her in-laws in Reshi Pora area of Sopore.”
Witnesses said that the entire face of Shahzada has received burn injuries.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“She was shifted to Sub District Hospital where the doctors referred her to SKIMS institute for special treatment,” reports said.
Meanwhile, SHO Bomai told KNS that they have registered a case under FIR no 6/2017 under section 498 A and 307 in this regard.
He said that the investigation has been started in this regard. (KNS)
