Srinagar, April 18 (KNS): A woman has been arrested for cheating people by swapping their ATM cards while posing as help outside ATMs in Srinagar, police said on Thursday.

In a post on X, Srinagar police said that Rs 39,130, gold items and 30 ATMs have also been recovered from her possession.

Police said that the woman would cheat gullible citizens, saying she will help withdraw cash by swapping their ATM cards.

She has been identified as Zeenat daughter of Ghulam Ahmad Pampori of Srinagar’s Saraibala.

A case FIR no 17/2024 u/s 379,420 IPC has been registered in police station Khanyar in this regard, the police said. (KNS)
