Srinagar, Apr 07 (KNS): National Conference (NC) senior leader and MLC Qaiser Jamsheed Lone on Saturday strongly condemned the ‘unjustified’ withholding of meager fixed amount payable to poor households for construction of latrines under Swatch Bharat Mission (SBM) in Lolab area of Kupwara district.
In a statement issued to KNS, Lone castigated the Govt for raising high slogans and tall claims of covering the target under SBM it has fixed least possible amount as financial assistance to poor people for construction of latrines in this sky touching dearness era on one hand on the other that too has not been released in their favour by BDOs falling in Lolab assembly constituency.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said that instead the amount has been kept in personal accounts by BDOs concerned which is a matter of serious concern. “What is the justification of denying payments despite of completion of construction of Latrines by poor people of the area,” Lone questioned.
Lone warned that the payments be released forthwith in favour of the beneficiaries concerned.(KNS)
