Srinagar, Dec 13 (KNS): The state government Tuesday announced winter vacations for all the schools in Kashmir division and winter zone of Jammu province.
According to an official communiqué issued to KNS, as per the orders issued by School Education Department, winter vacations from primary to class 8th will start from December 17. The winter vacations for High and Higher Secondary classes will begin from December 26.
“The last working day for classes up to class 8th will be on December 15 while as December 24 will be last working day for classes 9th to 12th.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe vacations for all classes will end on February 28, 2017.
Meanwhile, in terms of the departmental policy to provide optional schooling to the students to compensate the loss suffered during the current year, the DSEK has been asked to notify the schools where classes will be held during the vacations from class 8th to 12th, and for those students who have written the 12th exams.
The Director has also been asked to notify schools for holding of super 50 coaching and select teachers to be deployed for conduct of classes/ coaching in these schools. (KNS)
