Srinagar, Mar 11 (KNS): Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) President, Abdul Qayoom Wani Friday said that they will fight against any move to weaken the employee’s movement.
In a statement issued to KNS, Wani directed EJAC leaders to gear up their units to combat nefarious designs of enemies of the employee’s movement.
As per the EJAC statement issued to KNS, a high level meeting of leaders of employee’s joint action committee was held under the chairmanship of Wani. “In the meeting, the leaders highlighted the genuine demands of the government employees; public sector employees and particularly the demands of regularization of temporary employee’s,” statement reads.
Wani in a meeting said that state government seemed to be non serious regarding Employee’s issues and some bureaucrats under the influence of their political bosses are hatching the conspiracy against the employee’s movement especially in the education Department.
Wani warned that anybody having ill intensions regarding trade union movement will be dealt with iron hands and state government will be held responsible for the consequences. “Due to the non serious regarding the issues of employees is the root cause which compiles employees to come on streets,” he said.
Wani said, “It is unfortunate that one side we are celebrating women’s day and talking high about the empowerment of the women folk and the other side our daughters working under KBGV scheme in a deteriorating condition due to the under strike which entered in 25th day at press club Jammu and nobody come from the administration especially the higher up’s of Education Department to visited on to listen their grievances.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel”
Wani appealed Governor N.N. Vohra and advisor Parvaiz Deewan to look into the sensitivity of officials who are responsible for their hunger strike, should be put to the task.
In the meeting Wani urged upon the Governor N.N Vohra for Immediate time bond and regularization of all temporary employee’s, Casual Seasonal Employee’s and Daily wagers working under central Sponsored Schemes like SPM, SSA, RMSA, NREGA, NRHM, MG NREGA.
Wani also demanded immediate release of 6% DA and redressal pay anomaly of all clerical cadres and master grade renewal of public sector and Budgetary support to sick public sector units.
Wani directed all state provisional, District and Zonal Level Leaders of EJAC gear up their units for future course of action which will be announced very soon keeping in view anti trade union activities of government. (KNS)
