Srinagar, Oct 27 (KNS): Stating that they had come to meet and listen people of Kashmir, Former Union external affairs minister, Yashwant Sinha who was heading a five member delegation to Valley on Thursday said that they will be delighted when normalcy returns to Kashmir.
According to KNS correspondent, talking to reporters, Sinha said that they met with various stakeholders during these days. “Our aim of visiting Valley was to listen everyone here. It was good on separatists’ part that they decided to meet us. We had extensive discussions with various stakeholders here,” he said.
Sinha said “We will be delighted when normalcy returns to Valley.”
Pertinently, the team comprising of five members led by former Union external affairs minister, Yashwant Sinha met with several separatist leaders including Hurriyat (G) chairman, Hurriyat (M) chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and DFP chairman, Shabir Ahmad Shah.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The team who left for Delhi today also met with traders union and others.
The delegation had earlier said that the talks with separatist leaders were held in cordial atmosphere.
Others who are part of the delegation include: member of parliament Jai Ram Ramesh, Rajya Sabha member from Karnataka and former Union Minister for Rural Development, Former Chairperson of the National Commission for Minorities and Chief Information Commissioner of India Wajahat Habibullah, Former Air Vice Marshal, Bharat Bhushan, Journalist (Editor of Catch News) Kapil Kak, and Executive Director, Centre for Dialogue and Reconciliation Sushoba Barve.
Sources had informed KNS that was assigned to see and try ways for initiation of fresh rapprochement and re-conciliation process. (KNS)
