Over the conduction of panchayat polls, Mir said the current situation in Valley must not be linked with the elections being held at the panchayat level as same are being conducted to resolve peoples’ day to day issues. “We want the politics to be delinked with the panchayat polls. These elections are being held to resolve people’s day to day issues so that they could get good governance at their door steps,” Mir told KNS.
The PDP general secretary added that the party expect masses on ground to elect rational, educated persons during the pancahyat polls so that they would witness governance in true sense in their own respective areas and strengthen the system of panchayats in the State. (KNS)
