Srinagar, Sep 07 (KNS): At a time when authorities are mulling to start B2V-3 program across J&K, Block Development Council (BDC) chairperson of Kralgund Qaziabad in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday alleged that grievances of earlier programs are yet to be unaddressed.
Talking to reporters here, Bashir Ahmad Mir (BDC chairperson) said several promises were made with the people during B2V-1, 2 however after passing months since people’s grievances have been ignored and unattended.
He said the demand of the local population during earlier programs was to establish a degree college and fire service station in the area but the said demand was not fulfilled despite of tall claims.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
BDC chairperson said local people put forth several suggestions during B2V-1, 2 but none of them was fulfilled by authorities. He said people at this juncture are reluctant in taking part in B2V-3.
He also said payments of works done under MGNEREG/ FC 14 in the year 2017 -18 have not been released by the concerned department resulting the contractors are facing immense hardships. (KNS)
