Anantnag June 2 (KNS): Former MLA and People's Conference Leader, Mansoor Soharwardi on Wednesday reminded Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi of his own words that the Jammu and Kashmir is part of India and they should be treated as other Indians.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS) correspondent, Mansoor Soharwardi said that Jammu and Kashmir has been a part of India and the Centre should treat people of J&K like other Indians.

Replying to a query over National Conference's constituting Committee on Delimitation commission, Mansoor said that NC cannot fool people for a long time as they have consistently failed in fulfilling the aspirations of people.

Mansoor also said that according to National Conference leaders staying away from Delimitation Commission earlier was the right move and participation would mean the Abrogation of the article was the right decision by the centre.

"Basharat Bukhari once said that presence of National Conference MPs was important to get informed what is going on in Delimitation Commission but NC termed him as an ignorant politician", he added.

Mansoor said that Boycotting Delimitation commission earlier and now constituting Committee is not less than a joke with aspirations of people.

Taking a dig over Member Parliament, South Kashmir Justice Husnain Masoodi, Masnsoor said that there has been no major development in South Kashmir and there has been not a single penny spent on development in major areas of Kashmir. (KNS)
