Srinagar, Dec 16 (KNS): As the two residential houses and a religious place got damaged in fire incident at Chatru area of Kishtwar in Chenab valley on Tuesday, the police on Wednesday said that it is investigating the incident and the actual cause of fire.
“Special investigation team has been constituted. We are investigating the actual cause of fire,” Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu zone, Danesh Rana told KNS over phone.
BJP MLA from Kishtwar and Minister of State for Public Works and Revenue, Sunil Sharma, who has visited the spot, told KNS over phone that the government has directed police to probe the matter thoroughly. “Two houses have been gutted along with one temple. Though we cannot say anything before the proper investigation by police but yes we cannot rule out that some miscreants may be involved in the incident,” he said and appealed the general masses to maintain peace and communal harmony in the Chenab valley.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He added that Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team has also visited the spot.
It is pertinent to mention here that a fire incident took place in Chatru are of Kishtwar in Chenab valley on Tuesday in which two residential houses and a religious place got damaged in the mysterious circumstances.
The people in Tchansri, Mughal Maidan, Kishtwar came out on roads and started protesting after a local group ‘Sanathan Dharan Sabha’ called for bandh after a local temple caught fire which was near to those houses.
“Two residential houses caught fire at around 5.30 in the morning. When locals, both members of both the communities, succeeded in controlling the fire, it incidentally engulfed a local temple,” reports reaching said.
However the reports added that the temple was damaged as it was located very close to the houses which were completely damaged. (KNS)
