Waqf Board transforms Panj Peer Shrine in Jammu with major beautification project

 Jammu, Apr 15 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board Chairperson Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi on Tuesday inaugurated the 'Reconstruction and Beautification Project of Ziarat Hazrat Peer Baba Panj Peer (RA)' at Manda in Jammu.

 
The mega infrastructural project, involving multi-layer constructions and beautification initiatives taken up by the Board last year, was completed within the stipulated timeline, officials said.
 
Dr Andrabi was accompanied by Special Officer of the Board Dr Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Administrator Aabid Hussain, Executive Officer Doda Javed Zargar, Executive Officer Poonch Wajid Khan and other officers, besides members of civil society.
 
Speaking to reporters after the inauguration, Dr Andrabi expressed satisfaction over the completion of the project, describing the shrine as a very important spiritual destination of Jammu revered by people of all faiths.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
 
"We are happy to listen to the people expressing their pleasure over the developmental initiatives by the Board at all Sufi shrines throughout Jammu and Kashmir," she said.
 
The Waqf Chairperson noted that people across the union territory are labelling the past four years as the era of historic transformation and development with transparency in the Waqf Board.
 
"We are enthusiastically moving ahead with our mission of strengthening our spiritual centres and establishing our Sufi centres as ideal places with all facilities and aesthetically befitting environment," she added. (KNS)
