Waqf Board Chairperson Hands Over Job Letter to Pahalgam Braveheart's Brother

Srinagar, May 1 (KNS): Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi, on Thursday handed over an appointment letter to Nazakat Ahmad, the brother of Syed Adil Hussain Shah—who tragically lost his life while shielding tourists during a terrorist attack in Pahalgam’s Baisaran area on April 22.

Speaking to reporters, Dr. Andrabi stated that the appointment was a gesture to honour Adil’s selfless sacrifice. “He gave his life to protect others. This job letter is a small tribute to his courage.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHis sacrifice will never be forgotten,” she said.

Nazakat Ahmad, receiving the letter, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the authorities. “I am proud of my brother. He gave his life for humanity,” he said.

The attack on April 22 claimed the lives of at least 26 civilians, including Adil Hussain, when terrorists opened fire on a group of tourists in the scenic Baisaran valley—drawing widespread condemnation and grief throughout the region. (KNS)
